Would You Send This Back?

Some poor souls were in search of sustenance and so they stopped by their local Applebee's in Woodland, CA. They ordered the Bruschetta Burger — after all the photo looked great — and waited for their meal. However when their food arrived, they were presented with the most extreme ad vs. reality ever. Instead of garlic parmesan fries served in a ramekin, they were served a "cylinder of slimy, greasy fries with a couple pieces of parmesan cheese on top." Talk about crazy! I'd like to think I'd take a pic and then complain to the waitstaff, and then never head back again. What would you have done?

I will NEVER, EVER eat at another Applebee's after the horrible experience I had at one 2 years ago. It was the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant.

I've had bad food experiences but this tops anything I've ever seen. Those "fries" are completely unacceptable. I would have sent those fries back, demanded a refund on my entire meal, and not eat anything else. If this restaurant has the nerve to serve those disgusting fries just imagine what the rest of the kitchen looks like. They probably cook a ton of spoiled food and cover it up with their sauces. I wouldn't eat anything from that restaurant ever again. GROSS.

looks like someone in the kitchen was having a bad day...who knows what else they were doing back there. nasty...all the more reason never to be caught dead in an applebees.

I don't see how the waitress/waiter for this dish could even carry it out. Sure the kitchen messed up but would you be able to bring a dish like that out?!

Ask for the manager and send meal back. More than likely the meal would of been comped. :)

I'd send it back, and go somewhere else. I'd let my friends finish their dinners, but I wouldn't be able to eat there after something like that...

Wow. I actually just had those fries yesterday! Judging by the look of this photo, they must freeze their fries into individual portions or something. And I thought it was "fresh" food.... silly me!

First rule of restaurant dining....NEVER send it back unless you want something nasty done to your food. I just wouldn't eat it and complain to the manager at the end of the meal. Trust me, the kitchen workers are brutal with the replacement food of dissatisfied customers.

that's horrible... but not at all surprising. i tried the bruschetta burger wayyy back when it first came out (before all the tyler florence commercials, etc) and wow, it was horrible. I thought it sounded delicious, but nothing about the meal was good. i also thought that it was just my particular applebees, but apparently not... more reason to keep avoiding applebees haha

LOL, missjaime! I call it "Crapplebee's," too! I've had a few bad experiences with the food at that chain, and almost every time I've had stomach issues later on. Never eat there anymore... and this story/pic just proves why. G R O S S .

Seriously, I'd take a picture of it, send it back and then make a complaint with the photo attached. That's so disrespectful on the restaurants part to give their client what seems like very nasty crap to me... oh lord...

Eww! Were the fries still frozen? I am in the minority here and love Applebee's. It's been one of my favorite places for years, but then again I've never been served food like that

Sick, sick, sick!! I would have definitely had it taken back beacuse my moola is keeping them in business and I would HAVE NOT eaten that plate of grossness! I think sending a pic to corporate would help get the point across even more. That's just unacceptable! Our dining experiences should be pleasant ones, not gross ones.

I would send it back, than leave. I have seen "waiting" i know what happens to food that gets sent back! The only "theme" restaurant i go to ( or as Bourdain calls them TGI Funsters) is Chilis, and thats if i am desperate and drunk.
