Barefoot Is Releasing a "Wine-Based Hard Seltzer," and Boy, I Like the Sound of That

The phrase "Hot Girl Summer" may have dominated every Instagram caption last year thanks to Queen Megan Thee Stallion, but my money's on "Hard Seltzer Summer" reigning supreme in 2020, with Barefoot Wine leading the charge. The bubbly brand just announced plans to release its own take on spiked seltzer next month, joining a host of other alcohol companies getting in on the boozy, bubbly trend. (We're looking at you, Bud Light.)

Barefoot Hard Seltzer simply combines Barefoot Wine with seltzer water and natural flavoring for one of the following four combinations: Pineapple and Passion Fruit, Cherry and Cranberry, Peach and Nectarine, or Strawberry and Guava. As if those flavors weren't tantalizing enough, the fact that each 250 ml can contains just 70 calories and 2 grams of sugar should certainly sway you to take a break from your usual White Claw and give one of 'em a try.

Starting in February 2020, you can find Barefoot's new wine-based spiked seltzers on shelves wherever the brand's beloved boxed wines and canned wine spritzers are sold. Be sure to stock up before the season of outdoor barbecues and poolside hangs rolls around.
