As the seasons change, so do desserts, and it looks like Krispy Kreme [1]'s fruity glazed doughnuts are coming in nicely this year. The colorful treats come in three flavors reminiscent of a margarita: strawberry, lemon, and key lime. In addition to the glazed variation, Original Filled doughnuts will also be available with a filling that matches the coating on the outside . . . kind of like when those little umbrellas match the cocktail they're in.
Available for a limited time, each fruit-flavored doughnut will be released for four days (Tuesday through Friday) over the next three weeks. Here's when you can expect to try each new flavor.
- April 28-May 1: Strawberry Glazed and Strawberry Kreme Filled doughnuts will be available. Both doughnuts are covered in a pink strawberry glaze, and the Original Filled version is also stuffed with a light strawberry cream for extra fruity flavor.
- May 5-May 8: You can try the brand's Key Lime Glazed and Key Lime Kreme Filled Doughnuts, which are both covered in a tart key lime glaze.
- May 12-May 15: You can get your hands on the Lemon Glazed and Lemon Kreme Filled Doughnuts, covered in a zesty lemon glaze.
The doughnuts will be available at the Krispy Kreme drive-through and can also be ordered on the brand's website [2] or app for curbside pickup or delivery to your doorstep. During this time, the brand is also offering free doughnuts to medical workers [3] working on the front lines during the coronavirus outbreak.
