Now that pumpkin spice lattes are officially back [1] at Starbucks, it's time to find cups to fill 'em with. While the coffee company has not yet shared an official release date, shoppers have been spotting Halloween tumblers and mugs [2] for the 2023 season since late August, sharing glimpses of the new collection on Instagram and TikTok alike.
Among several designs seen at Target stores, a neon green cold cup resembling Nickelodeon's famous green slime has already gone viral, with many social media users coveting the fun item. There's also a black tumbler with colorful pumpkin art, and a similar shiny version featuring pumpkin etchings. All three items glow in the dark, making them all the more festive for Halloween [3]. On the mug front, fans have also discovered a hot pink coffee cup shaped like a pumpkin, as well as a rainbow skull mug.
Unlike this year's vibrant and playful lineup, Starbucks's 2022 Halloween cups [4] and thermoses leaned a little spookier, as they featured illustrations of tree branches and eyes of creatures, and stuck to a purple, black, and green color scheme. Considering the retailer announced its Halloween [5] drinkware in mid-September 2022, here's hoping there's a major rollout of this year's collection in stores soon.
These discoveries have come just a few weeks after Starbucks revealed the return of the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, as well as two brand-new fall beverages [6]: the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte.
