Aquarium Sink and Modern Aquariums and Fish Tanks

Love It or Hate It? Aquarium Sink

In the world of aquarium design, there's a lot of tacky out there. But thanks to California Home + Design, I've discovered that designers are rethinking the jumbo bachelor pad tank in favor of some more innovative designs. One of the most unusual is the Aquarium Sink ($4,500) from Opulent Items, which has a glass top that can be removed to rearrange your fish tank decor and two openings for feeding. There's also a large sink light in the back, and a powerhead for filtration, oxygenation, and water circulation. It would definitely liven up your tooth-brushing routine. What do you think of the sink?

It;s not so much that I hate it, it's more like "oh yeah, kinda cool & different" but 5 minutes later I'd be over it.

Whoa! As cool as it is to look at, I dont think I could ever use it. Even though Id know the fish are safe, I wouldn't be able to get over the reflex-type feeling of not using it to not harm the fish-like the water being on "stirring" up the tank too much or the spitting (when brushing my teeth) on the fishies. It would just be a weird, massive mental hurdle I would have to jump in order to use that If Im making sense.

In a house, I'm afraid it would look tacky and still too bachelor pad styles. But I think it'd be cool in a restaurant bathroom or somewhere like that!

Whoaa crazy awesome :P I do agree though, that must stress out the fish completely. And... you'd have to keep it spotless at all times. But if you have the cash to spend that much on a sink, you probably have a maid anyway.

TACKY!!! But I'm sure there is some fool out there who will pay $5,000 for a tacky fish tank and think he's the height of fashion!! And, also . . . poor fish!!
