This bentwood pendant lamp ($110) was designed by Costa Rican Hennig Dyes, who began building wooden lamps as a hobby 20 years ago. The lamps are made of Plantation Pine, a wood that is grown exclusively for the purpose of harvest at 8000 feet in the Costa Rican Highlands. Dyes makes some other interesting, warm glowing lamps but it's hard for me to take this one seriously because I think it looks like a pumpkin. What do you think? Am I seeing things?
