Lovely Little Vignettes: Meaningful Art

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member Birdhouse Family from the Lovely Little Vignettes group:

When my husband surprised me with this large framed photograph I was delighted but also a bit taken aback. I spend quite a bit of time thinking about the décor in our house and didn't know where such a large piece would work. The photo is very special to us as it portrays a part of Costa Rica where we work for part of each year. It was also taken by a fabulous photographer we've recently gotten to know. To my husband's credit, the colors fit right into our color scheme, and the best location soon became obvious — the middle of our living room! You can read more about it here.

Be sure to share photos of your own home décor arrangements in the Lovely Little Vignettes group!

Thanks sourcherries and starbucks. Starbucks: we've been trying to slowly add meaningful pieces, but it's hard when you have several new blank walls staring at you. So we're also cheating a bit with DIY pieces, photos we took, and things we printed from free online images - some of these will be temporary, although they're growing on us too.

Looks gorgeous and it fits right in! I have a problem with finding art work I like because I only want to hang things that have a meaning to me. I should befriend artists so they'll paint me stuff ;)
