Before and After: CaraWilkerson's Master Bedroom

Before and After: CaraWilkerson's Master Bedroom

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member CaraWilkerson from the Su Casa group:

When we closed on our house a month ago, we had a lot of work to do in the master bedroom. Before, the white walls and old carpeting were a drag. By warming up the space with paint, exposing the hardwood floors, and adding a little personality with décor, we were in business!

Sure! The paint is from Sherwin Williams. We went with a blend to keep from getting darker than we planned: 1/2 napery & 1/2 compatable cream. The curtains are from Pier 1. Hope this helps! Thanks for all of the nice comments!

Thanks, carolynz! The floors in the bedrooms were actually pretty well preserved underneath years of carpeting. However, we were already having to refinish the floors in the living areas so we decided to go ahead and refinish the floors in the bedrooms to keep the stain consistent.

Ditto diamond- the curtains and the floors make the room. Did the floors have to be redone or were gorgeous floors just hanging out underneath the old wall-to-wall?

Thanks for all of the nice comments! The curtains were definitely a step outside of my comfort zone, but they have really grown on me. I think that one of the best parts about a redo is trying something that is a little different but still "you". We've had a blast working on this room and glad you all have enjoyed it!

It looks great, and is tastefully decorated. Maybe add a splash of an unexpected red or teal to make a statement? Whether you do or not, job well done. :)
