Before and After: Dining Room

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member deemurph from the Su Casa group:

One of the first "big" furniture purchases I ever made was the Spanish wood dining table with benches in this picture. It was wonderful and we had some great parties centered around it, but last year I decided to re-decorate my home and this room was the first to be redone.

To see how the room looks now,

.

Many of my "first" purchases (when I wasn't quite sure of my style yet)  were sold and made room for pieces more decidedly "me." My home is now a wonderful mix of vintage (a new love!) and brand new purchases. I have to walk through this room every day to get to my kitchen, and I have to say . . . it makes me smile!

The buffet, lamps, chandelier and black chair (in the second pic) are vintage. The table and chairs are new. The mirror and painting I already had. Wish list: a beautiful rug!

Have you tackled any redecorating projects lately? Be sure to share photos and tales with our Su Casa group!

The ghost chairs are on my wish list. I've never seen a room in which they don't work, so versatile~

Hi Fashionista Fay... I love your page! I got the buffet through a vintage furniture store in Miami called Sabina Danenberg. The chandelier, black patent chair and lamps I bought from 45Three Modern Vintage in Los Angeles. The table and chairs I bought at Room Service!

I absolutely love both! The before look is more masculine... the after definitely has a girly flair! Love the Billie Holiday picture <3

It's a nice look. I'd loose the doily table cloth and paint the room a nice bright colour to really make the room pop.
