I hate how the befores are in black and white so there really isn't a way to compare everything. The after does look nice but I don't really think too much was done. I'm not a fan of the color scheme at all, it needs some color or some kind of personality.

Is the before pic in black and white? Regardless, the new room looks AWESOME! So much warmer and inviting

I'm so glad they kept the 30's inspired glass block! I fell in love with the look in old hollywood black and white movies.

Though I agree, not much was done, but that's all the room needed. Less is more!

i agree with wetheliving... they didn't really DO anything. just refinished the interior with what appears to be the exact same finishes as before and just stuck some modern furniture in there. they didn't do anything with the floor plan or with the space, just decorated the interior, which is something anyone with a little bit of taste can do.

Actually, even though glass block walls had a revival in the '80s, they were very popular in the '30s, when this structure was built. I LOVE the renovation, and love how the bones of the space had such a "modern," open floor plan! Truly awesome.

It's obviously an improvement considering how run down it was, but I think it's pretty boring. Plain walls, dull furniture and a 1980s glass block wall. It could have been so much more interesting. It's not at all exciting or inspiring.
