Casa Quickie: Improve Your Timing

Is your house too hot? Maybe you need to improve your timing. Adjust the hours you spend in certain rooms according to how much sunlight is streaming through the windows. At our house, it's sometimes unbearably hot in the afternoon and early evening in our living room, so instead of fighting it, we migrate to the office, bedroom, or backyard. By avoiding the worst hours in your hottest rooms, you can keep cool without spending a penny. That's a win-win, don't you think? Source

I definitely do this. Also keeping the windows and shades closed when it's hot out helps a lot. Open up the windows when the sun goes down especially if there is a nice breeze.
