Casa Quickie: A Stepstool Alternative

Even full-grown people need a little boost sometimes. If you've got high shelves in your closet or tall bookcases around the house, use a child-size chair to give you the little lift you need. They're more charming than a regular old step stool, and they'll double as seating for the little tykes you know. Plus, small versions of your favorite chairs, like Philippe Starck's Lou Lou Ghost Chair, are much more affordable than their big kid counterparts.

I think it depends on the chair. I used to own a kid-size solid wood vintage schoolhouse chair (the seat was only about 10 inches off the ground. It was really, really solid, and I used it all the time as a stepstool. Now that I think about it, I wonder where that chair went. I miss it!

That what I was wondering about, Tidal. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to properly balance on it. On top of that, I'm worried that a child size chair wouldn't hold my adult size weight. I'm not overweight or anything, but still!
