To save money this Winter and still keep your bed toasty, switch your electric blanket for a hot-water bottle. This tried-and-true method may seem like a remnant of the past, but it's absolutely effective for keeping your feet warm in a chilly bed. We used to have a couple in my house growing up. I spent 4 years in Chile with no central heating so at night we would boil some water and fill them up. (They really helped) Also, I would wrap my pj's around it for about 20min before putting them on so they were nice and toasty.
