Cool Idea: A Calendar You Can Plant

The Plantable Eco Calendar 2008 is a monthly desk calendar that blooms long after each calendar's page is past its due date. When a month passes by, simply plant the handmade paper page and wait for wildflowers to grow. This year's calendar is designed by Kal Barteski and comes in a collector's tin. This calendar was featured in Elle magazine's Best Calendars of 2008 shopping guide, and for good reason. Too bad I already picked up a Charles Harper daily planner, or I'd snatch one of these up.

The website for this product has wedding favors- this is excellent! I was looking for something to use as favors, didn't want to do them at all because I didn't want to waste my money giving people almonds or candles that they will never use, but I think I will go with this! I am having an outdoor wedding and they even have my colors. Thank you!

That's so seems to echo the passage of time with discarding of one 'month' and letting it grow into a new life. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think it's very sweet.
