14 Ways to Decorate With Lavender — the Most Soothing Color on the Spectrum

Cool Idea: A Dandelion-Inspired Light

Who doesn't love dandelions and the way the fuzzy seedlings float away when you blow on them? That's the inspiration behind Secret of Light, a prototype lighting system that takes inspiration from both dandelions and candles.

The winner of a recent Red Dot design award, the Secret of Light illuminates when you shake it; to "extinguish" the bulbs, you blow on it like a candle, and your action is detected by motion sensors. Depending on how responsive it was, I think it would be soothing to extinguish a lamp as if it were a flame, and I think this lamp is just lovely. What do you think?
