Cool Idea: Dish Towel Curtain

I spotted this image in the portfolio of British photographer Polly Wreford and am utterly charmed. Some clever crafter has created a curtain from a hodgepodge of white or white and blue dish towels. Of course, this idea won't work in all homes, but I think it has a quaint country cottage look that would be endearing in a kitchen. Even the most amateur sewers can figure this one out, and dish towels sell for practically pennies so it's also quite the economical solution. And, the thick, absorptive textiles do a great job of keeping out glare without blocking your natural light.

We did this at uni!! Had an amazing rundown, cold, victorian family house in london and mad a curtain out of tea towel's (dish towel.) Think I might even of got the idea from this image! It looked amazing especially with the old ugly wooden chairs which we painted bright pink and orange in gloss paint.. honestly coolest kitchen ever!

I'm afraid that it might be one of those things that looks really awesome in the photo but might look less amazing in real life. Still, it looks great and if I had a kitchen window I'd totally try it... if anyone does, I'd love to see!

At first, I thought this was a shower curtain.. but either way, I think it's really creative!

Cute. I like the idea. It would work in alot of kitchens if it used more of the same ones, I think.
