Cool Idea: A Paint Can Stool

I just noticed this paint can stool in a home on Light Locations, and am completely smitten. Not only is this DIY furniture a great way to repurpose an old paint can (although you know you can recycle them), but it's also just downright cute. I love how this one was upholstered with vintage-looking fabric; it's like a really artsy mushroom. It's a great way to stock up on spare seating or side tables without spending much (or any) money. The top could even be upholstered with the fabric from an old t-shirt or sweater. You definitely need a gallon can to make a substantial seat. If you don't have one, ask your local paint shop or hardware store if they have any leftovers.

my ohhw my...i do hope all of us have a pair of arse that fits, well to begin with, and of course, hopefully they're a pair of very numbed arse, for obviously, it is going to be a wee bit discomforting...hmm... ah well, good try i must say =)

I can't imagine anyone actually sitting on the thing, although I do think it is a nice idea. It's a little funky for my taste/home, but I can see the appeal.

While I like the reuse of the paint canister, I'm far more in love with that couch!
