Cool Idea: Poladroid

Ever since Polaroid decided Poladroid (also Geek's Site of the Day) is a software application that easily creates high-resolution Polaroid-like pictures from your digital photographs. The application is free, and easily downloadable. So, I gave it a shot and it couldn't be more simple. Just drag and drop your photo from where it's saved to the camera graphic in the program. Then, you "shake" the picture by moving it with your mouse, and it will slowly develop. When the image has finished developing, it will automatically save to the original folder. As you can tell from these photos, the results are pretty marvelous. You coulda fooled me.

Every time I think about Polaroid instant film no longer being part of our pop culture. I think of all those treasured memories that were captured with a flash and a shake!
