Coveted Crib: Lakeside Modern

Taking cues from the natural landscape — in particular, a nearby granite formation — this modern home in Horseshoe Bay, TX, features stone terraces that end at the lake's edge. Vertical concrete blocks and cast concrete are offset by generous windows. Porches and a courtyard marry exterior and interior spaces, while restrained colors and décor highlight the beauty of the home's design.

I like this style. Personally, for me, there's some small, knit-picky issues I have with it, but overall, I like the design.

beautiful setting, but i get an industrial factory vibe from the home... aside from the sun-soaked pic above, it doesn't seem comfortable enough for me.

Wow! It doesn't get any more lakeside than this. It's gorgeous.

This is beautiful. Normally I hate lakeside homes because they incorporate all that log cabin stuff, its ok for some but I just don't. My husband and I would like to someday retire in the Lake Tahoe area so seeing different designs for lakeside homes always intrigues me.
