Crave Worthy: Roost Acacia Bowl

Made from Acacia wood, this Roost bowl ($54) is silky smooth and humbly gorgeous. I can imagine it on my Thanksgiving table with a winter greens, feta, and pomegranate-seed salad offsetting the burnished brown of the wood. This bowl should be treated with food-safe mineral oil, which will have the added bonus of darkening and glossing the wood.

It is beautiful. And very deep, you're right! I only have a couple of shallower bowls.

I really like the deep shape of this bowl, my wood bowls are much shallower. That's just lovely.

I am a lucky lucky girl, my grandfather makes bowls, containers, even wine glasses out of wood. He has his entire basement full of ones that are curing right now. I have a couple that he made that have a bees hole in them.
