Crave Worthy: Vessel Toro Tissue Ring

I go through a lot of tissues, but I hate the look of unstylish "decorative" tissue boxes. So I would love to get my hands on this Casa Craving from reader Misonyc: the Vessel Toro Tissue Ring ($18). The sleek stainless-steel weight sits atop a stack of tissues to create an instant dispenser anywhere. It wouldn't be terribly practical for a bathroom, but it would look lovely in a bedroom where a country-print cardboard box would not.

Love the design, but won't your tissues collect dust?

i haven't owned tissues for years! i have tons of handkerchiefs (they're reusable! so great!) and use toilet paper when i really have to blow my nose...i use hankies for a bit of a dab and also keep one on me incase i spill something while i'm out.

I agree with Nightwind... the tissues would get dusty with germs floating through the air... I wouldn't want to blow my nose on that! Tissue box cover is the way to go...

It's really clever and unique, but I'll just stick with the plain old boxes.

Uh...couldn't you just use a metal bracelet or something that you already have...rather than spend $18 on this?

My first thought was how the tissue would collect dust. I don't see it as more attractive than a tissue box or a box cover. Also, when the kids have a cold, I like the fact that the tissue box can travel with them from room to room. With this weight, you would have a tissue trail from room to room.

I agree that tissues would get dusty. I like the idea for napkins when you're having an outdoor gathering.

I like it...I don't think they'd get that dusty, but I don't have allergies, so not a big issue for me.

I agree with nightwind. The tissues would get dusty and look unnattractive and make you sneeze even more. They already make tissue box holders that could look chic beside your bed.

That is really cute. I think if you are using the tissues a lot, maybe at work when allergies are bad, it is good. If the tissues are just sitting around and you don't use them, I don't think it is that great. I would buy this.

I love this but there have been debates on how practical it really is.

Doesn't the rest of the tissues get dust on them then?

It seems like it would also work for napkins in the kitchen; sort of a napkin paper weight. I agree with Nightwind about the tissues getting dusty.

This is clever. I wonder how well it works. Actually, I have a bathroom/combo which would provide the perfect setting for this.
