Create Stencils on Frosted Glass Windows

Cool Idea: Say It With Window Stencils

Need a little privacy on your windows? Then speak up — with stencils, that is. I spotted this lovely window at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin of all places. The adjacent window said "Day," as in "Lovely Day For a Guinness," one of the legendary beer's slogans.

This idea would be very easy to re-create at home on any window where you want a little extra privacy. All you need are some letter stencils and a frosted glass spray, like RustOleum Specialty Frosted Glass Spray ($6). If you prefer the look reversed — with frosted adornments on clear glass — you can use contact paper to create stencils for a similar effect.
