Decor Insider Website Launches With To the Trade Products

Décor Insider Brings "To-the-Trade" to the People

As hard as it is to keep up with all the membership-only private sale websites debuting these days, I'm always happy to join one more — so long as they offer me something special. Just launched, Décor Insider is one of these. It manages to kill two birds with one stone, bringing consumers not only beautiful products at divinely discounted prices, but giving us common people access to designer décor traditionally sold only "to-the-trade," or to interior designers. While products by noted brands like Odegard Carpets sell for upwards of $4,000, you'll also find coffee table design books for under $50 and luxe fabrics for $18/yard. The marketplace founder Carole Gratale, a furniture designer and manufacturer herself, even sells some of her own wares there — I'm swooning over her Geoffrey Beene-inspired Dining Table (above $2,445, reduced from $9,900). Think of it as a loftier, more exclusive version of One Kings Lane. The limited-time sales only last a few days though, so get shopping!
