Just a few years ago, designer Timothy Corrigan was reunited with the stately Hancock Park mansion of his childhood. After beating out seven other offers, Timothy had to face the challenge of merging his California casual aesthetic with the majestic elegance of the 5,000-square-foot Georgian Colonial-style estate. By knocking down walls to reduce the number of bedrooms while opening the floor plan, Timothy was able to create a more contemporary flow for the home. Layers of antiques blend effortlessly with modern slipcovered finds while picturesque windows frame beautiful busts and fountains. The result is a sumptuous but comfortable home that honors both the grandeur of the estate and Timothy's lifestyle. We caught up with Timothy for a closer look inside of his stunning home and his tips for achieving a similar look in any space.
