Desire/Acquire: Knitted Pouf

My love for Christien Meindertsma's Flocks Pouf ($800-1600), made using extra-large needles, hasn't dwindled since it debuted four years ago. But, even on sale for $680-1200, the price hasn't dwindled much, either. The ladies over at craft site Pickles did release knitting patterns for their inspired knitted Puff Mama pouf, but that requires some serious DIY-ing — a project I'm not so keen on taking on. So I was ecstatic to find a ready-made knitted pouf (in my favorite color!) at a retailer I love and can afford. Want to see where you can buy one?

CB2's new Knitted Pouf ($80) is the next best thing for those of us who can't afford to splurge on Meindertsma's design, and don't knit, either. I love the green, and it might work in my home, but I do wish it were available in a more neutral color, like gray. What do you think?

These don't do much for me but maybe it's because my apt has carpet.

$800-1600... No thanks. And I agree even $680-1200 is something. Is this price the norm for stuff like this?

Jeesh, do they use table legs to knit those first ones?? It's nice, but I agree, lime green would not be the first color I would select...
