Do You Have an Eat-In Kitchen?

When I dream about home renovations, my kitchen is often foremost in my thoughts. While the space is functional, it's still small, and I'd love to expand it to include counter space and stools for an eat-in kitchen.

we're lucky enough to have a big kitchen with room for table and chairs and a living area filled with sofa's i think in a smaller kitchen an island or breakfast bar is a must as nikkeb says- multifunctional space, so you can still use the work surface but there is an area to sit and eat personally i wouldn't buy a house unless there was room to sit and eat in the kitchen a family should sit down and have an evening meal together the kitchen is always the heart of the house in my experience a dining room, though it shouldn't go underused is more for formal occasions kitchen eating for most meals and of course breakfast amazing kitchen in the photo!

We have the room for a table/island but we just left the space open.

does a breakfast nook count? i think i'd sometimes rather have an island/bar space since that's more multi-functional than a small table/chair set.
