Do You Have an Entry Staircase?

I grew up in two different Colonial homes, which each had a staircase leading up from the foyer. It didn't occur to me until I had grown up a bit that not all homes have this feature greeting guests as they enter. For a while, I just thought that's how all homes were built! I love how welcoming the architectural element is, and it allows for fun decorating with statement-making chandeliers! The next time I'm househunting, it'll definitely be on my wish list, but I know that one staircase does not a great house make; of course, I'll have other priorities. Do you have a staircase in your foyer?

Yes, but our house is not a colonial- at all- it's a MCM contemporary/split foyer w/ an open staircare- and we have cathedral ceilings, so we have 2 cool light fixtures.

No, our staircase is not in our foyer. It is in the main area of the house and can be seen from the entrance of the home though.
