Do You Have Stained Glass in Your Home?

I spotted this charming window on a landing at The Inn at Shelburne Farms, and was taken with the way it diffused light. I think it lends a softness to the entire area.

I have two giant oval stained glass "portraits" that hang in the windows of our dining room. When the light comes through they are stunning.

I have stained glass panels that can hang from the windowsill (Marc Chagall's The American windows)...I absolutely love the deep cobalt blue...If you're ever in Chicago, you have to visit the Art Institute where the real "live size" (i.e. ginormous) windows are and you'll be absolutely blown away by the beauty...

I love stained glass. In my apartment (it's in an art deco building) the bottom half of the windows are single panes of glass, but the top halves are smaller squares. I'm thinking about covering the squares with some sort of film to make it like stained glass.

We recently saw a house that had stained glass in two windows. The rest of the house wasn't so great, but oh, how I loved those windows!

No it's not really my thing.

Not in this house (although I have a window that would be perfect for it). But in another house we lived in we did a stained glass effect in our entryway window next to our front door. It was a humming bird/floral pattern that was so pretty. Everyone thought it was an actual stained glass window.
