Do You Have a Summer House?

In all my Summers, I've usually either had a family house in the mountains or by the beach to escape to on the weekend, or I've been able to hop between the getaways of my friends all season. As nice as it is to have a second home, rental, or even a Summer share to visit when the weather gets hot, it's a lot of work to make it feel like home — and owning one means you're in for hosting duties, too. Tell me . . . do you have a Summer house? Or do you stay at your primary residence year-round?

Yes - here we call them "shacks' and often they're old fibro cottages by the beach. No tv, no carpet, old school holidays!

I wish I had a beach or lake house! Unfortunately, I'm far from ready to own a summer house. After all, I'm just now ditching roommates to live by myself (for the first time) in a cute, little one-bedroom apartment!

I voted "No! I wish", but I don't wish I did. Call me old fashioned, but one place is enough for me.

yes! and it's the best to be able to escape the city precisely at 5pm on a Friday night!
