Do You Have Wallpaper in Your Kitchen?

Wallpaper has become much more commonplace in the last few years as fresh designs heal our memories of '90s eyesores. A lot of people are still uneasy about making the semi-permanent change though, especially if their furnishings aren't set in stone. So, I think wallpapering the kitchen, or just one wall, is great for the entry-level set. In the US, most kitchens have built-in cabinetry and in many cases, built-in islands. Wallpapering can add a little spark to the room and it allows you to change the look without making any renovations.

No but I've considered putting it behind our glass back splash for a touch of color in our very white kitchen.

Yes, but it's not a happy yes. I hate wallpaper to begin with, but the brilliant previous owners of the house put wallpaper on textured walls!! I can't wait to redo my kitchen and soon!

I hate wallpaper. I'd much rather paint.

I like wallpaper but I don't think I'd do it in a kitchen because a) it would be hard to put up because of all the notches around the cabinets (in my kitchen at least, not in the one that’s pictured); b) the heat and moisture from cooking would be really hard on parts of it; and c) there aren’t many prints I’d want. Plus my husband has some strange aversion to wallpaper in general (he thinks it looks old-fashioned) so there won’t be any in our house for a while. I’ll work on him, though … one day we’ll have it, though probably not in the kitchen.

When we bought our house there was apple wallpaper all over the kitchen... yuck! It was the first thing I removed. We painted the kitchen white with a green accent wall... it looks great! Wallpaper isn't my thing, but I'm not against the "pretty" kind, ha!

No I don't...... just paint and very expensive crown molding throughout my entire house.I was never really a big fan of wallpaper and it's such a pain in the a$$, not to mention time consuming trying to get it off the walls.
