Do You Leave Your Windows Bare?

As I was paging through photographer Lucas Allen's portfolio, I was wowed by the ocean view through these windows. To really maximize the view, the owners have opted to leave the windows completely bare. Would you ever consider doing something similar, or is this bare too bare for you?

I wish I had the privacy to leave my windows bare! Not really a good choice for a girl who lives alone in a studio apartment though :0)

I also live in a bungalow with many windows. The master bedroom windows are the only ones that have wooden blinds on them as to block out the morning light. All of the others are bare. When friends inquire about the lack of treatment, I ask them when was the last time they looked into someones windows. They say never. Point taken. Denver has the most brilliant sunshine over 300 days a year and I am not going to miss one day of it. You have not seen sunshine until you have seen it over a mile closer to the sun. It is glorious. You only live once. Let the light bathe over you. Forget about lookie-loos and enjoy the view.

Uh, no. I like my privacy. I feel very uneasy when people can look into my home, particularly if I'm changing.

Our bungalow is on a corner lot and though I would love, love, love to have my big beautiful custom windows bare, we need the privacy. I do go around my house every morning and open the blinds though.

The windows at the front of my house have shutters for privacy but the windows in the back are uncovered. I love being able to look out into my backyard and see all the plants, trees and flowers.

The nursery windows are bare because it's a small room. In our bedroom I'd love to leave the windows bare, but our neighbor's bedroom is opposite ours and we don't want to see too much of each other.

The picture of the room here is beautiful. If I had an ocean view or mountain view, etc...then I would leave the windows bare.

it looks great in this picture because of the view and nature of the room in my house, in a neighborhood with houses nearby? no at our cottage, with huge cathedral windows and nothing but a lake view and no one nearby? yes

I need a third option. I love the look of bare windows, but I live in an English basement on a street where a lot of people walk by, so I don't leave my windows bare because I don't like the idea that people can look in.
