The Economy Has Changed the Reasons Why People Remodel Their Homes

Why Did You Remodel?

It seems that homeowners are taking on the trials and tribulations of remodeling projects more than ever right now, but the Wall Street Journal reports that all the revamping is happening for different reasons. Instead of making a pad better for resale purposes, folks are giving their homes a face lift to make their own living situations more enjoyable. Seems ironic that it took an economic crisis for us to appreciate the places we are in, instead of looking toward the next bigger and better thing. I've done a fair share of remodeling in my own home, and while we absolutely did it all to make my house a better fit for us, resale is always on my mind. What was the purpose for any remodeling you've done?
