Actress-slash-lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin announced their separation two years ago, but the amicable exes are only now parting with their swanky Tribeca penthouse. They've just listed the nearly 4,000-square foot, three-bedroom property for $14.25 million — that's almost three times the $5.1 million the A-listers purchased it for in 2007. We're guessing the dramatic price hike is due to the unit's luxurious interior design overhaul by Roman & Williams. If the peek we got of Gwyneth's over-the-top, gourmet, white marble-clad kitchen in Vogue is any clue as to the rest of the house's design, then it's seriously swanky.
The real estate listing seems to confirm our suspicions; it notes that the penthouse has painted white floors throughout to accent the jewel-toned rooms, such as the library with its custom built-in bookshelves and detailed molding. The living room has custom pressed-tin ceilings, embroidered fabric wall coverings, and a large outdoor space. There's ample room for entertaining, a wall of East-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, and — our favorite — not one, not two, but three spacious closets lining the entry hall to the master suite. The master bath, not surprisingly, is sumptuously outfitted from the skylight above to the heated marble floors underfoot. One thing is for sure: the penthouse's next owner is going to be in para, para, paradise!
