Hallway Painting Before and After

Before and After: Inspirata's Duck Egg Hallway

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member Inspirata from the Su Casa group:

We just moved into our new, very first house on the May 8th. I have so many visions for this house, so there'll probably be quite a few posts from me here. Unfortunately, I didn't think I'd be sharing the shots here to begin with, only on my personal blog, but I've decided to share so please forgive my terrible photos. The original color of the hallway was what I would call a duck egg blue. I hated this color; it was too cold and dark for the hallway, which doesn't have any windows except for the front door.

To see the new paint color, continue reading.

After, the color is called "Banana Boat" and it makes me feel so happy and excited when I see it. It really lifts the space, makes it brighter and warmer, and when the picture-rails around the space are replaced and the brown door frames are revamped (either taken back to natural timber, if it's simple enough, or painted white), it will feel more complete. I can't wait to find some great décor to match this space — I can picture lime-greens and bright oranges!

Have you been doing any painting or decorating lately? Be sure to post photos and tales in the Su Casa group!

I've been thinking of painting my kitchen yellow, but I'm not sure. My condo has a lot of cool colours in it, and I think it needs something a little warmer. The kitchen is just white now, so it's pretty boring anyways.
