How to Make a Valance Out of Dust Ruffle

DIY: Make a Valance Out of a Dust Ruffle

Here's a post from OnSugar blog Crafty McCrafterson:

What you need:

  • Iron
  • Sewing Machine
  • Curtain Rod
  • Drill
  • Screws and the like

Continue reading to learn the steps.

Step 1. First, cut the cute part off of the dust ruffle.

Step 2. Iron

Step 3. Sew a loop. This part was totally stressful for me. My mom had to finish because I was scared to not get it straight.

Step 4. Put it on a rod.

Step 5. Hang it up over the window!

Voilà! Dust ruffle repurposed into a valance!
