Why You're Going to Fall in Love With HGTV's Good Bones

How Would You . . .

For the next round of this challenge, I'd like you to take a look at this Pair of Sheep Sculptures (sold). These 1960s Dollys were made with real angora in the manner of one of the art world's most original designer-sculptors, Claude Lalanne. LaLanne and his wife Francois-Xavier are a sculpting and industrial designing pair known for their Surrealist and Realist objets d'art, like these life-size furry creatures that Coco Chanel kept in her living room. The French couple have been collaborating for 50 years, but have recently become hotter than ever in the States, with their pieces selling for big bucks at auction houses like Sotheby's, an English language book on their work published and a major New York exhibition of their work last year. So, my question for you is how would you use these LaLanne imitation sculptures in your home? Would you leave them as is as art pieces? Would you put hats on them in your front window to give passersby a smirk? Would you even buy them if you could afford to? Would you use them as a coat rack at parties? Hang your beret on their muzzles? Use one as a doorstop? Keep the in a kids' room? Tell me how you envision these sheep in your home by commenting below!

I own 2 Lalanne very hairy sheep. They have gotten dirty overtime. How can I clean them?

If it's good enough for CoCo, it's good enough for me!

"I would make them footrests by putting them in front of chairs" I was just thinking the same thing! But then again, you wouldn't catch me dead bringing something like this into my home! Either my cats would use them as scratching poles or it would just kind of sit there...collecting dust

I don't think I'd ever have them in my home, but if my sister (a dog groomer) got ahold of them, she'd probably dye them pink and give them a poodle hair cut, with little bows wrapped around each ear. If they were in her home, they wouldn't stand a chance as sheep, no they'd become Pink poodles, nonetheless. Gotta love her! :) -Jaime @ "It's A Jaime Thing" :)

I personally wouldn't have them in my home. But if I did, I would have an English country decor and I would only use one and if the back is straight enough I would place a tray on it and sort of use it as a center table.

I would decorate my trash can till trash day. Or perhaps put them in a front window to scare people away. Sorry but those are horrible. It might be cool for a kids play area, perhaps put a big ol spring on the bottom and make those bouncy things they have at playgrounds.

Add a curved pieces of wood to the bottom and turn them into rockers.

Great idea Omlove! I hadn't thought of a countryside theme. What furnishings would you use?

I would probably create a nook in my home with a countryside theme and put these there ....just a thought.
