You'll Never Guess the Major Celebrity Who Named J.K. Rowling's $19.2M Yacht

It's nice to drift off to sleep while reading J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books, but it's even nicer to get lulled to sleep by waves aboard J.K. Rowling's yacht. Only a year after purchasing it, the bestselling author listed her spectacular 156-foot modern motoryacht for $19.2 million. If the price of ownership is too steep, you can rent the boat to the tune of $130,000 per week before expenses. With five staterooms, outdoor dining, and plenty of relaxation and recreation space, the yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests. While it was only built in 2001, the boat's ornate interiors — dark woods, heavy velvets, and fancy moldings — reference an earlier time, one where Dumbledore himself would feel at home.

Rowling herself is said to have fallen in love with the boat while chartering it for a family vacation from former owner Johnny Depp. In fact, Amphitrite, the boat's name and a reference to Poseidon's wife and the Greek sea goddess, is rumored to be a tribute to Johnny's ex-wife Amber Heard. Before that, the boat was named Vajoliroja for his previous partner Vanessa Paradis and their children, Lily-Rose and Jack. Tour the boat's plush interiors in the video below and slideshow ahead, and then start brainstorming name ideas for when you buy the yacht.
