John Legend and Chrissy Teigen Sell Their Swoon-Worthy Home
They're just ordinary people with a not-so-ordinary house. Grammy winner John Legend and his model wife, Chrissy Teigen, sold their gorgeous 1960s Hollywood Hills abode, which he bought in 2007. The going price? Two million dollars (pretty close to the $1.995 million asking price). The 2,000 square feet of property includes three bedrooms, one of which Legend turned into a studio where he recorded several of his hit songs.
Back in February 2013, Legend talked to Architectural Digest about the place, saying it was "subtle and beautiful, but it packs a modern punch." He also enlisted the help of designer Don Stewart to remodel the place while keeping its simple structure, Asian influence, and loft-like ceilings.
As for why they decided to sell, "We're ready to expand a little bit," Legend told The Wall Street Journal. Ever since their marriage in September 2013, people have been wondering when kids would come along. Maybe this is a sign they're making room for a new addition?
