Lauren Conrad Sells Sunset Strip Home For 2.25 Million

Lauren Conrad Trades Landlord Duties For a Buyer's Market

According to the LA Times, Lauren Conrad has placed her Spanish villa on the market for $2.25 million.

Three and a half years ago, we reported that Lauren Conrad had bought the Spanish villa just off of Sunset Boulevard, whose asking price at the time of sale was $2.5 million. A year after that, we reported that Lauren Conrad had moved out of this Spanish villa in favor of a high-rise condo in the Westwood area of LA. Conrad then rented out her 3,009-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home for $11,000 per month.

While there's no official word on why Conrad chose to put the house on the market when she did, Zillow's estimated rental worth of the house is currently under $8,000, which is more than $3,000 under her originally rental price. In fact, Zillow's estimate, at $1,7 million, of the house's value is also much different than Conrad's current asking price for the home.

While Lauren Conrad may have been trying to wait out the bad real estate market when she put the home on the rental market back in early 2009, perhaps she's decided that enough is enough, and it's time to take landlord duties off of her varied and extensive professional CV.

The house itself, a 1920s Spanish villa with extensive recent renovations, is quite lovely. The gated courtyard entry features a fountain, while the pool area's  detached guesthouse and outdoor kitchen make it a perfect spot to relax and soak up the California sun. The main house's interior was extensively renovated with foundation, plumbing, electric, and pool foundation work. Interiors boast refinished hardwood floors, a custom kitchen with Lagos Azul counters, Carrera marble in the bathrooms, Spanish tiles in the den, antique lighting fixtures,  and high-end appliances.

Conrad is reported to be moving to a gated community.
