Love It or Hate It? Garden Hose Gun

The Garden Gun 5.1 designed by the Design Reaktor Berlin is deliberately ironic and playful, seeing as water is the source of all life. I can see children and grownups alike having fun with it, emulating action figures or Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith on their suburban lawns. Do you think it sends the wrong message or is it just fun and games?Source

I don't think they send a wrong message because they're like, say, violent video-games - they're meant for more mature audiences - you don't usually buy garden hoses with your kids in my mind, right? I wouldn't feel right letting kids like 10 or younger play with it though.

how fun.! It's the machine gun of water guns.

I'm on the fence about toy guns, but I like how this could create a never-ending water fight in the summer - no more running to fill up the super soaker.

Eh. It's fun, but I always think it's weird when little kids are playing with toy guns.

I think it's fun. No worse than any other water gun, plus it's bright orange.

I like it. I don't think it sends the wrong message either. Think about it, it's no worse than the old school Duck Hunt gun, and nobody panicked about it sending "the wrong message".

If I were to use a water gun, I prefer the ones that don't actually resemble real guns, i.e. super soakers.

I think it can be fun and silly but quite honestly as a person of color living in a predominately anglo area I would be cautious of having any gun silhouette on my person around my home. Just in case. Call me paranoid, but random stuff could happen with over-zealous neighbors or police.
