Love It or Hate It? Google News Cushion

My buddy geeksugar posted a poll about this Google News Cushion ($120), and I'm curious to know what you guys think. Designed by Elodie Blanchard, the statement-making pillow is emblazoned with the top 10 Google News stories of 2006. (2003 and 2005 versions are also available.) The more I look at the limited-edition design, the more fascinating it is— though it feels slightly exploitative to have a pillow that reads "Hurricane Katrina" on my couch.

though it's not my thing it's kinda cool for a high school grad that wants to remember that year

You know, I actually kinda like these. I think in the right setting, they would be pretty cool. Not in my house though :)

I love it!!! But, I'm ADDICTED to gossip columns and I really like knowing what people are doing...I'm a bit of a "people watcher" sooo, they are just right up my alley I suppose!

Maybe if those things were things that you cared about. The 2003 one is much better.

Please, I hope that "Irak" is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!

Irak = hilarious in a social-commentary sort of way. They should make pillows using the most-commonly misspelled searches. I bet those would sell even more.

I love them. I think they would be great in my home office. They're interesting, they match, and they're al ittle piece of history. They'd be a great conversation piece, but not for $120.

I like them actually, I think they'd be an interesting piece in a home office or something. Since ppl so often decorate their houses for a sense of escapism, I think it's cool to inject a little reality every once and while - like the things ppl find interesting and newsworthy.

love them, fun, and meaningful in a superficial kind of way.

Intellectually, I get that these pillows offer a sarcastic commentary on celebrities and our pop culture. Aesthetically, however, I would not to buy them or have them in my home.

I have a problem with Iraq being spelled "IRAK".

Really do not like to see all of those awful things expressed on one pillow. Ew.
