Love It or Hate It? Mary Lynn O'Shea Middlebury Chair

Love It or Hate It? Mary Lynn O'Shea Middlebury Chair

Though it wouldn't match my home decor, this Mary Lynn O'Shea Middlebury Chair ($3,600) is wonderfully luxurious, upholstered in gorgeous jacquard fabric. I think it looks both formal and comfortable. What do you think?

I like the style, and I even like the fabric, I'm just not sure I like them both in the same place! You'd definitely have to plan the whole room around that chair - and pretty cheaply too because it would certainly suck up most of the budget! Even so, I think it could look great in the right setting.

Could there be a category for "eh". I'm not on either extreme of love or hate for this chair.

This is a gorgeous chair. A little more ornate than the norm for this type of chair. It could work in many situations. Also, I *love* the *Love it or Hate It*s. Such fun.

It looks like the type of chair that you think is super comfortable and then sit in only to find out that it's hard as a rock.

Hate it; The style is gorgeous however my problem w/ it is the fabric. Why?! I think a rich red, dark olive or light blue would be perfect; Just not this material.

I really don't like the pattern, but it looks comfy!

It's definitely not my style, but I think it's gorgeous.

It's beautiful; bold, but elegant. Very artistic. Add this to an slightly contemporary room for a formal touch. Looks comfortable, too. Would very nicely accompany a solid color sofa and drapes with contrasting shades (Olive, tan, blue...maybe even a splash of red or rust, say accent pillows, or a throw).

I wouldn't say that I 'hate' it, but it's a little too formal for me.

In a simple linen it would be fab!

This would have to be an pacticular taste. If someone is looking for the 'sleek' and 'sexy decor, this is not for them. I would love this for a library or living room. It looks very comfortable.

The style of the chair itself I could handle, but the fabric and color would have to be very different. Maybe a solid color would do better. I definitely would not pay $3,600 for it, no matter what color or fabric it came in.

It's very stuffy and old-fashioned looking. I don't like it.

All I can see is a little old lady sitting in that chair sipping her tea. Its not my style. :(
