Love It or Hate It? A Wall of Mismatched Mirrors

In this very eclectic living room, which I think belongs to photographer Debi Treloar, one wall is adorned with an arrangement of mismatched ornate gold mirrors in varying shapes and sizes. In general, I feel like it's hard to go wrong with a mirror. Here, I think the disparity of the mirrors works with the room's sort of lost-and-found vibe. But I'm not sure it would work everywhere. What do you think?

The look overall is not for me but I have a friend with this sort of eclectic taste and I admire her for it!!! I prefer a more "calm" look and feel!! I don't really see anything wrong with the mirrors but I would hang several small rather than a really large one and the two small ones.

The mirrors don't bother me its everything else in the room. I could never be comfortable in it. The pepto pink, the dead thing on the floor, bad wig pretending to be a light fixture and the mirrored garbage pail stool all need to go. Shabby should never try to meet 50's miami. Add a few more mirrors and you will get the salon look which would be better on a colored wall.

I agree with the posters above. The mirrors can be better arranged. Right now, it seems somewhat chaotic. Personally, I dislike the difference in height between the last mirror on the right and the rest of the mirrors on the left. In my opinion, all the mirrors should be installed (or arranged) with the same header height. It would create a good line in the room. Right now, that header line is broken.

Agree that the placement is off with the mirrors. As a whole, I just can't get behind the pastel coloring of the furniture and the use of gold. Just not my style.

The concept isn't off, it's the execution that's a problem here. Maybe if they'd stacked the smaller mirrors above the large horizontal one and then mounted the long vertical alongside to pull it all together, it would have come off better.
