I have a sewing room that I do this in, but i think it would look nice in other areas too. I also like my scarf hanger, it brings alot of color to an otherwise dull apartment wall...

I kinda like it :) I could definately see an antique sewing manequin with a dress on in a sewing room, or maybe in a boudoir. Especially if it were a vintage Chanel or something. I dont mind it so much. I just dont like it on a hanger.

I think this look rarely works and most often comes across as "trying too hard" as popgoestheworld noted.

i've seen very, very expensive and ornately beaded caftans from morocco used as art, but this dress seems way too simple to be used for its intended purpose.

I "get" the Flip Flap Plant, but I don't "get" this. This looks like some lazy person doesn't want to put their clothes away!

It seems like the person in the photo is trying to hard, like she is having a hard time fitting everything in the closet and that fell out right before someone came over, and the person just shoved it onto a hanger. Tacky.

I'm more about simplfying so I don't like a lot of clutter but I actually think this is a beautiful look and I love the vintage paperwork on the wall, it works perfectly with the dress.

Yeah it just looks like she has a dress out that she's about to wear. I couldn't leave all of this clutter around anyway, it'd give me a headache.

Love the vintage look! I once decorated with a wide brimmed straw sun hat surrounded by green, red, blue and yellow rustic picture frames for a great low cost country look.

I have a friend who has a sewing mannequin in her living room and she dresses it for each season. It looks beautiful (she does iron the clothes). Even though it works for her, I could never see it in my home. I agree with popgoestheworld that it looks like they are trying to hard in the photo above.

As a gentleman, I don't think I can make this work.

Yeah, that's what my laundry area looks like sometimes. I don't really consider that art.

I think it could be cute for the right person, but I would rather wear the dress. :)

I like it! I think that if the rest of the room isn't cluttered, and the dress can lay flat against the wall it could definitely work. :) Maybe now I have something to do with the gorgeous dress I bought at Anthropologie that I'll probably never wear! :D

I feel like this is a case of trying too hard.

Yea I dunno if I could have this one. My boyfriend would be like "Honny! Put away your clothes, the room looks messy!"

Oh... AND iron that one top! [yes, i know it's supposed to look like that]

I just don't understand this trend. It just looks to me like she needs to put those clothes where they belong. [in addition to taking the spare buttons off of them and putting them in THEIR proper place]
