Midday Muse: Elegant Eggs

If you didn't love the Valentina Audrito Sunny Side Up Shag Rug I posted last week, perhaps you can admire this exterior design by the same designer and architect. Here, Audrito celebrates the simple beauty of the egg form with less playful minimalist arrangement on a porch. How would you interpret this idea?

looks like some huge beast laid eggs on the porch while you were out- scary

Why does this designer like eggs so much? I don't like this look.

It's interesting and cute but I wouldn't want them for my house.

I could soo live with the elegant simplicity of those eggs, even though I might get bored with the little eggies

Who wants their porch turned into a coop for giant hens :(

I really dig the pic. Though if I happened upon this in my neighborhood, I'm not sure what I would think.

If they are soft a squishy I want to lay in the basket. Otherwise I would run and hide because there's about to be a bit bird landing on that porch to hatch her eggs.

I can see people actually buying this stuff. And say it is art and really be proud. I'm just not one of those wierdos.

The concept of having these ginormous, over priced eggs that serve no purpose - even visually - makes my brain hurt. Give me an interesting sitting area and flowers and I'm good!

I kind of like it, but not as part of my house design. It really takes me back to being a kid, where everything was so huge. It makes for an interesting artistic photo and definitely sparks the imagination, but a chicken coop isn't exactly the best home for a human.

rofl @ sgdish What is this guy's fixation with eggs? I'm hoping this guy is just keen on irony and spends his time laughing at all the people who buy his stuff because they think it's "in" or something.

I'm afraid a t-rex will soon be born on this patio -- scary!

Uh, it looks like an Easter egg hunt waiting to happen.

Here's the thing about that thingy hanging over the nest, it looks like it's giving birth to the eggs and that frightens me. It remind of that thing that sucked the people up in War of the Worlds.

Well its a decent idea for a photo but I could sure think of alot of other ways to utilize the space....I agree with katiejam.....I believe it would be more appropriate on a smaller scale and/or in a yard setting.

ok - so... you could always do a simple, clean tablescape with the same idea but on a smaller scale. or if you have a nice garden/backyard/flowerbed, if you hid a few of this big eggs under a leafy plant it might look cool and natural. there is potential in the idea.

It maybe good in theory, but it doesn't work in real life.

how would i interpret this idea? badly. it's just, i don't know, too oddball to fit in any normal house.
