There is so much I like about this photo: the thematic grouping of nature objects; the juxtaposition of nature artifacts next to a flat-screened television; the ebb and flow evident in the color ranges of these chosen objects. And I absolutely adore the white-paint-dipped pinecones.

I've never been able to master the art of the mantel. There always ends up being crap on it.

This is not nearly as tasteful as my mantle with the Barbra Streisand 8-Trak and spent grenades. But it was a noble effort all the same.
