Midday Muse: Powder-Coated Prettiness

I found this image on AT:SF, accompanying a post about the advantages of powder-coated metal furniture. While I agree that powder coating is a great way to update old furniture, I'm more in love with this vintage ironing board than I am the concept of powder coating. My favorite bakery, Bakesale Betty, uses the same vintage ironing boards as outdoor tables for customers. Seeing an unexpected element used successfully in a space — be it as a table for dining or as a surface for displaying books — is brilliant indeed.

I love how the ironing board was used as a bookshelf. Definitely got me inspired.
