. . . would you hire Kelly Wearstler as your interior designer?

No way, i like minimalism and that kelly girl needs to grow up and stop dressing like my teenage cousins!

I love a lot of Kelly's work, like the Viceroy and some of her residential projects. Her home that was featured in Domino was not really my personal style, but I would be inclined to believe that as an interor designed working with and for a client I would have input in the space.

from those two photos, i'd say i wouldn't mind a room or two by her.

I think she is a great talent and totally admire her style, but it's not really my cup of tea. I am completely on the opposite side of the design spectrum, favoring softer, cooler tones and less busy-ness all around.

No thank you.

Let me think: I'm an interior designer. Why would I hire an interior designer when I'm in college to be one professionally and not casually? Her style seems a little too busy and little-kid for me.

I think it would be fun!

Totally! Ever since I heard we both spent the same New Years Eve in Punta del Este, Uruguay I've known we are on the same wavelength.

Who made the bed she's sitting on? Martha Stewart would have a stroke if she saw that corner!

Her style is a little too busy for my taste. Her excessive use of pink, for one, is SO not my style. I like the adventurous way she mixes patterns but the overall effect is too much for me.

Meh, our tastes don't seem to click... but it may be because I can't see through all of that gross pink and purple. :-/

I love Kelly's style, but I'd MUCH rather design my own space than hire someone to do it for me :)

I love Kelly - and I love that she has a different wild hair style on every episode of top design. I wish I had that much energy. When I said "Yes Yes Yes" above, I assume hiring a decorator is a collaborative effort and I would still have a lot of say. I could never just turn over carte blanche my home -- I'm WAY too opinionated (I'd probably be the nightmare client). Peggasus: she's famous b/c she's a huge name in interior design, has decorated many hotels, has a textiles line, is on a tv show etc etc etc.

Good lord, NO. Anyone who dresses like she does and has her hair the ways she does I would NOT take design advice from. Remind me again exactly WHY she is famous?

No! I don't her use of color and mixed patterns. Her style is way too busy for me. My taste is much more simple and modern.
