This was also home to American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay during her time in Greenwich Village during the 20s. She wrote her Pulitzer Prize-winning "Ballad of the Harp Weaver" while living there. I am a scholar of her work, so I couldn't resist posting :) Every time I visit my best friend in the Village, I take a little pilgrimage to the front of this house, just to marvel at it.
