Nate Berkus Modern Mediterranean Room

Found: Our Dream Room and How to Copy It

If we could describe our dream room, the gem above would be it. Designed by none other than Nate Berkus — have you seen his new Target collection yet? — this living room mixes more than a few of our favorite things. Perfectly styled, yet laid-back at the same, modern pieces are kept casual with soft textures and furniture that could almost pass as a flea market find. The combo of colors are on point, too; elevating neutrals with pops of gold and aqua tones. We could go on, but the point is, you don't need a Mediterranean bungalow or a big budget to get the look. Pulling a few key elements, we found a similar piece to that velvet chaise (obsessed), Moroccan rug, and the blue accents scattered throughout. Go all out or pick one item that will hint to a similar look. We're just happy someone (as in Nate) made our dreams come true . . .

From left to right: Iron Wire Table ($60), Peacock Blue Sofa ($1,299), Souk Wool Rug ($179–$1,299), Velvet Pillow ($98), Hand-Blocked Silk Pillow ($39), Brown Boxes ($295-$350), Round Blue Vase ($101, originally $119), Antique Gold Sofa ($649)
